Throughout their time in the tech lab students have opportunities for coding. The 5th graders have a unit where they will learn the basics of coding. In that unit they will learn about conditional statements, repeating loops, and relative angles. It is a great hands on way for them to use these cognitive thinking skills. This type of logic practice has a great impact on the way these learners approach problem solving in their classroom!
Sixth grade coding expands upon that foundation. The students are able to apply their knowledge of coding to create more complex codes that include defining a function as well as multiple different actions.
